Aloha

A couple months ago,
my dear friend asked me if I would plan a Hawaiian Luau to celebrate her and her sons upcoming birthdays.
~
Of Course! - I love a good reason to design a party.
What a fun project it turned out to be!

This beautiful young lady is the Birthday Girl herself.

She wanted her day to be filled with colorful island décor,
traditional Hawaiian Food, and of course family fun.

This lei basket welcomed the guests.

We used lanterns adorned with tropical flowers, pineapples and coconuts
atop fishing net for centerpieces on the outside tables.

We laced the patio with Tiki masks, garlands and paper lanterns.

We filled the serving tables with fun Hawaiian pieces.

'Cheddar' the Goldfish made his debut.

This handsome guy, had the big job of leading the way
and signaling the start of the much awaited performance.

These darling girls entertained all with a surprise dance just for Grandma.

I used the free printables from Here to make the skewer tags and Luau banner.

The kitchen island waiting to be filled with delicious food.

Nobody went home hungry!

Isn't she a doll!

Fun was had by all!

Happy Birthday sweet friend,
or
 as they say in Hawaii...

Marines Birthday Party

I was sorting through pictures last night,
and came across these of Kolby's birthday party last year.
Boy, a year has whizzed by!

Kolby wanted a Marines Birthday Party.
Lucky for him, we have resident Sgt. Knightmare in the house!

We sent the draft notice out to all young men of age.

Hung the balloons. Using This technique.

Stocked the Armory.

 And prepped the Chow Hall.

Once the soldiers arrived for Bootcamp,
we issued uniforms, dog tags, and gave each a few tattoos.

Then they met with Sgt. Knightmare for the low down.

They were issued their weapons -
 Single Barrel Marshmallow Shooters.

And engaged in some tactical training exercises.

Unfortunately, we had a few casualties,

Luckily nothing high doses of sugar couldn't fix!
Fun was had by all!

Each soldier graduated with honors and was sent home with new skills and a loot bag .

A proud 8 year old soldier!

Are You Ready For Some Football?

In  honor of the upcoming Super Bowl,
I  decided to share the highlight reel from Bear's  Football Birthday Party last year.

The  new football was not only part of the décor but was also a gift to Bear.
We had all his friends sign it so he could have a souvenir 'Game Ball'.

Bear's jersey sporting the magic number of the year.

In the Locker Room we issued the team jerseys and then had the boys visit the Photo Booth.
Every new Rookie needs a trading card.

Big Bear Knight

After their pictures the team headed on out to Knight Stadium for some training exercises.

The obstacle course.

'Coach Kenny' leading the boys in some drills.

The boys worked up a sweat and made their way to the Sideline Fueling Station.

We finished off the party with awarding the MVP trophies.

Remember folks,
you saw your up and coming Super Bowl stars here first!
