Front Porch Cheer

Keeping with tradition, we decorated and offered the front porch to the neighborhood birds.

 

 

 

This year we left a small gift for the reindeer

 in case they were feeling a little weary, and needed to rest and refuel.

 

 

I can't get enough of burlap and fresh greenery.

 

 

 

 

A sack full of Christmas surprises?

 

 

The perfect spot to store the ice melt for the driveway. 

 

 

Feel free to stop and rest your wings.

Christmas For the Birds...

The boys and I spent the evening putting together a gift for the neighborhood birds.

We thought they might like a place to stop and rest

 and have a bit of something to eat.

We strung cranberries

and popcorn together to make edible garlands.

We covered pine cones with peanut butter and bird seed,

 and hung them on the tree with twine.

We hope they gather their friends and family here for Christmas dinner.

Of course we listened to Christmas music while working on the bird tree.
